Our approach is rooted in human rights due
diligence and focuses on improving workplace
conditions, bridging income gaps, and creating
opportunities for vulnerable communities. Guided
by the UN Principles on Business and Human
Rights, we prioritize our actions where the risk to
individuals is highest.
We use the C.A.R.E. framework to develop Human
Rights Action Plans for priority raw material supply
chains, including the cocoa Protecting Children
Action Plan (PCAP), our approach to identifying,
preventing and mitigating human rights issues in
the cocoa supply chain. The PCAP defines how we
work with suppliers, governments, experts and
others to identify, prevent and mitigate human
rights risks.
